Our filter systems feature 1-inch IP inlet and outlet ports reinforced with brass to prevent any splitting on the housing. The cylinder filter housings feature a double o-ring for extra leakage protection and one oil-filled pressure gauge per filter. Our standing filter units can be floor or wall mounted.

Starts with Great Water
According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), North Americans are now consuming 300-600 times the amount of chlorine that is safe to ingest. Chlorine is added to our tap water to disinfect and remove harmful bacteria and pathogens, but it does not stop there. Chlorine produces a byproduct called Trihalomethanes (THMs) when reacting to the organic substances in our water which are known to pose cancerous and non-cancerous health issues. They are currently considered probable carcinogens by the National Cancer Institute (NCI).
THMs can be consumed by drinking contaminated water and can even be absorbed through the skin while bathing and by inhaling water vapours. The harmful effects of long-term consumption can include, worsened asthma symptoms, various congenital abnormalities, and various types of Cancer.
Chlorine is proven to remove harmful bacteria and viruses in our water, but it can also disrupt the balance of healthy bacteria in our guts. Gut health is linked to many important functions in the human body including the immune system, brain function, and the digestive system. Chlorine is effective in protecting us from waterborne disease and virus’, but that does not mean it is healthy to consume.

SED – Pleated Polypropylene 5 Micron Sediment Filter

The first step in our water filtration system. This removes solid particles like rust, sand, dirt, and fine particles like sediment, silt, and limescale. This prevents the contamination of the following filters. Pleated to maximize surface area for efficient water filtration and overall longevity, up to three times longer than a regular filter.
CTO - 5 Micron Carbon Filter

Made of shell carbon which removes odours, residual chlorine, and THMs which are a byproduct of chlorine treatment.

CCF - 5 Micron Coconut Carbon Block Filter
The final step in providing you with contaminant-free filtered water. This filter is made of high-quality coconut carbon in a "block" construction. The structural design provides a high chemical absorption rate. This removes any remaining chlorine, organic chemicals, unnatural tastes and odours and other chemicals found in tap water.

All of our filter systems have been pre-factory tested. Filters last six months to one year on average. Replacement rate will depend on the quality of your water and usage.

Our Purewave filtration unit has a two year parts warranty and lifetime system support.
Installation
To remove existing filters, shut off each valve on either side of the unit.
Press the red air release on the top of the unit above each filter housing before you remove each filter.
To loosen, fit the the provided spanner tool onto the cylinder housings and turn in a clockwise direction.
Use a bucket/container to catch excess water. A wet vac can also aid with excess water spillage.
